ZL CEO to present on Convergence of eDiscovery and Records Management
and Implications for Government Agencies

SAN JOSE, CA – Mar. 10, 2011 ZL Technologies, Inc., the leader in archiving and eDiscovery software for large organizations, announced today that it will present and exhibit at the Digital Government Institute (DGI) eDiscovery, Records & Information Management Conference. The conference will be held on March 17, 2011 at The Pavilion in the Ronald Reagan Building located in Washington, DC.

Recent reports from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) have shed light on the failure of government agencies to adopt a compliant electronic recordkeeping system. Many agencies have systems capable of capturing email messages but lack the ability to manage and set retention policies across the entire agency. Furthermore, some organizations still rely on paper documents and backup systems as alternatives to archiving digital information. These issues can present costly and far-reaching challenges for agencies due to nonconformity with federal regulations.

On March 17, 2011 at 11:30 am, ZL’s CEO and Co-Founder Kon Leong will address these issues by discussing how government agencies can determine where potential data management vulnerabilities exist and how to respond to these challenges. Mr. Leong will discuss the trend in the consolidation of records management and eDiscovery, in addition to guiding attendees to adequately prepare to meet the demands of managing growing volumes of data.

ZL Technologies’ Unified Archive® provides a highly scalable and flexible solution to govern enterprise information across the organization. The solution takes the burden of records management off of end-users by automatically indexing, classifying, and retaining documents, subject to a fully configurable file plan. ZL Unified Archive® ensures consistent Records Management across the enterprise by supporting the full range of electronic content, including email, files, IMs, blogs, collaboration tools like SharePoint and Quickr, and social media including Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.

ZL Unified Archive® maintains only one copy of the data and employs a single policy engine, configured with any number of time- or event-based policies throughout the entire document lifecycle. As many organizations are reticent to ingest all documents into an archive, ZL offers the ability to manage documents in place (Manage-In-Place). This enables users to find and retrieve any document regardless of its location without copying or moving the document to a centralized archive. Auditable access controls to any document and its metadata ensures authenticity, reliability, and integrity of all documents.
