Continued Sponsorship and Educational Sessions Underscore ZL’s Commitment to ARMA’s Role as a Premier Venue for Records Management Professionals

SAN JOSE, CA – October 23, 2014 ZL Technologies, Inc. (ZL), the leader in unified information governance for large organizations, continues its multi-year support for ARMA International’s professional development opportunities. This year’s attendance at the annual ARMA Live! Conference and Expo marks an expanded role for ZL, with extensive contribution to educational content, increased show sponsorship, and exclusive hosting of the show’s popular Welcome Reception. The event, held from October 26th-28th in the San Diego Convention center, will feature ZL Technologies at Booth 922 on the expo floor.

The consequences of “Big Data” mismanagement continue to bear down on more business units within the enterprise, and the role of the records manager has been thrust into the spotlight as a critical guardian of digital information. The rapidly-evolving nature of data types and practices has further underscored the need for continued education within the records and information management (RIM) community, urging professionals to seek out venues renowned for high-quality educational content. ARMA, a not-for-profit organization established in 1955, has long been known as an invaluable provider of resources for those in the information management field. This year, ZL is honored to sponsor two of the show’s Education Track presentation series, which are known for their thought leadership and forward-leaning approach to pressing information management topics.

A new era of information demands a new approach to information governance. The stand-alone, “siloed” records management systems and ECMs currently utilized by many organizations are simply not suited to handle the vast array of data types currently encountered, and typically fail at efficiently meeting the shared needs of records management, compliance, eDiscovery, storage, and analytics. The ZL Unified Archive® (ZL UA) meets these swiftly overlapping needs by addressing the requirements of all parties: providing a single elastic platform for the management of all unstructured data, and using single data copies from which all business units can leverage data for their particular requirements.

“Today’s records managers know that their role has rapidly expanded along with the data universe,” said Kon Leong, CEO of ZL Technologies. “RIM professionals are actively seeking out the information they need to adapt, and ZL is extremely proud to meet the exacting standards for unbiased educational content that ARMA has become respected for.”

To address the escalating issues of information governance, Mr. Leong will be giving two presentations for ARMA’s Education Tracks during the conference. The first, part of the IT Track, will take place on October 26th from 2:45 – 3:45 PM. The second, in the Records and Information Management Track, will occur on October 27th from 8:00 – 9:00 AM. Both sessions will be held in the San Diego Convention Center at Upper Level 28AB.
