ZL Unified Archive® captures, manages, and governs all items under the SharePoint farm.
The Unified Archive® provides a centralized, elastic ecosystem for all enterprise unstructured data types, including SharePoint content. ZL Unified Archive (UA) supports the capture of all SharePoint objects including lists, documents, tasks, links, wikipages, calendar items, announcements, and more. All of this data can be de-duplicated, fully indexed, searched, and leveraged for the interrelated needs of Records and Lifecycle Management, eDiscovery, Compliance, and Storage.
Reduced Storage Cost
ZL SharePoint Archiving slashes “SharePoint Sprawl” by offloading content from bloated SharePoint servers. Offload all content or replace content with stubs, which replace files with lightweight shortcuts, allowing enterprises to reduce total storage costs while maintaining user accessibility. Customers also have the option of reducing administrative costs by offloading SharePoint data into the archive and subsequently retiring inactive SharePoint sites and farms.
End-to-End EDRM: eDiscovery
ZL SharePoint Archiving bolsters litigation preparedness by including SharePoint data in the eDiscovery process. Once in the Unified Archive, organizations can conduct single keyword or custodian-based searches to capture all relevant data pertaining to a case whether in email or SharePoint servers. One-click legal hold allows SharePoint and other items under the farm to automatically freeze lifecycle retention until the hold has been lifted.
Automated Retention: Records Management
Unified Archive® centrally manages the retention and disposition of electronic records at enterprise scale through a single retention policy. Supporting a virtually unlimited number of policies with highly granular rules, Unified Archive provides a flexible policy engine under a single retention framework.
Unified Archive allows the enterprise to use advanced language content and metadata fields to find data for litigation, end-user access, or strategic insight. Search the “universe” of enterprise data rather than just the SharePoint bubble. Advanced search criteria such as file type, age, path, content, authors, title, date, etc., are available to further refine search results.
Role/ACL-Based Access Control
ZL SharePoint Archiving ensures that the right information is accessible to the right people. Based on ACL and user permissions, system administrators can easily configure access policies through ZL UA, granting permission to access, read, write, or delete a file. Additional permissions can be granted through the provision of various global and application-level roles, which can be defined to limit access to certain files or even subsets of files.
