On behalf of the entire ZL Team I write this blog with a heavy heart. Last week, I learned of the passing of an icon in the eDiscovery world, Browning Marean. Browning was a partner at DLA Piper, a well-recognized and influential speaker in the world of Information Governance and eDiscovery, and most importantly, a man I was proud to call my friend.
Browning and I participated on many panels together over the last decade and we didn’t always see eye to eye, but we enjoyed the collaboration of ideas and strategies. He was one that I would call periodically, even if just to run an idea past so that we could brainstorm on the “what-ifs.”
Browning was always that smiling face that I would look for at a conference even if just to catch up. He always had a big hug and a positive attitude. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wonderful family that he adored.
He will be sincerely missed.
